Akshara Maheshwari Singhania, is the main protagonist of the show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.
Summary[]
Akshara Maheshwari Singhania is the daughter Vishambharnath and Rajshri Maheshwari. She has a brother, Shaurya. Akshara gets married with Naitik Singhania as an arranged marriage. Initially, they struggle to know each other, but eventually begin to understand, support and love each other. Akshara and Naitik have a son, Naksh. But, Naitik meets with an accident and falls into a coma.
4 years later[]
Akshara joins to family business, raising Naksh single-handedly. Naitik recovers from coma and Akshara succeed in reuniting Naitik and Naksh. Later, they have a daughter, Naira. However, Akshara is blamed for Naitik's uncle, Mahendra's death and his wife, Kaveri (Bhabhi maa) expels Akshara from home. Hence, Akshara and Naitik move out with their kids.
10 years later[]
Akshara and Naitik live in Cape town with their kids, who are grown-up now. Naksh returns to Udaipur, making Akshara and Naitik to return. Akshara struggles to bond with Bhabhi maa. Soon, Naksh and Naira learn truth and clear the Bhabhi maa's misunderstanding along with their cousins. Bhabhi maa apologizes Akshara and Naitik and welcome them back. However, Naira is falsely accused for her friend's death. Naira misunderstands Akshara and runs away from home.
7 years later[]
Akshara misses Naira, while Naira is now grown up and lives in an orphanage at Rishikesh. Akshara visits Rishikesh with Varsha to a pooja and finds Naira there. Naira refuses to come back and Akshara manages to bring her back donating to save the orphanage. Eventually, Naira realizes her mistake and accepts Akshara.
Naira falls in love with Kartik Goenka, who works as Naitik's employee. Akshara and Naitik learn their relationship and accept it. Unfortunately, Akshara meets with accident and falls off cliff to death, leaving whole families in shock. To remember her, Naira opens Akshara dance academy and names her daughter after Akshara.
11 years later, her granddaughter Akshara is named in her memory by Naira.
