Naitik is the male protagonist of the show, and the husband of Akshara. He belongs to a large joint Marwari family in Udaipur, the Singhanias. He meets Akshara when the family arranges their alliance, and while reluctant at first, they both fall in love with each other through their marriage.
Summary[]
Naitik Singhania is shown as the potential heir of the Singhania family, who have a legacy in business. However, Naitik often shows interest in starting his own company, which he attempts many times in the show with the help of his brother-in-law Shaurya. Naitik also wishes to go abroad to explore in business.
After marrying Akshara, Naitik finds support in her as a wife and a friend. While their marraige is an arranged alliance, it soon evolves into friendship and then love.
Naitik and Akshara have a son, Naksh, but about a year after his birth, Naitik falls into a coma which resons to he remains distant from Naksh.
4 years later[]
Naitik recovers from coma and struggles to bond with mischevious Naksh. He is devastated when his mother, Gayatri died. His father, Rajshekhar remarries Dr. Devyani, who has two children from her first marriage. Naitik eventually accepts Devyani and also his step-siblings. Naitik and Akshara have another child, Naira. Naitik often adores her. Naitik's uncle, Mahendra dies and his wife, Kaveri banishes Akshara blaming her for Mahendra's death. Naitik and Akshara move out with their children.
10 years later[]
Naitik and Akshara live in Cape Town and are doting and responsible parents to Naksh and Naira, who are in their teens. Naitik runs a restaurant named "Krishna" and pampers Naira, as Akshara does with Naksh. Naksh returns to Udaipur and convinces Kaveri to forgive an innocent Akshara. Eventually, the family is reunited and Naitik and Akshara celebrate their anniversary by getting remarried. Naitik rejoins to Singhanias' family business and soon undergoes huge losses as his step-brother Naman tries to dupe him and loot from their family business, despite giving Naman chances to redeem himself. Naira runs away from home after being scared of police charges in an accident.
7 years later[]
Naitik is devastated with Naira's missing and desperately searches for her. He keeps busy himself in family business to hide his pain.
Akshara and Naitik reunite with Naira when she is found in Rishikesh. While trying to maintain peace between mother and daughter, he also attempts to reconnect with his daughter. Naitik travels to Switzerland and is trapped by Naman. Akshara, Naira, Kartik, and Gayatri reach there and rescue him. Naitik permanently banishes Naman and put him in jail.
Naitik is devastated with Akshara's sudden death and decides to live for his children, who motivate him. He gets Naira-Kartik married in a grand ceremony. Soon, Naira is blamed for her brother-in-law, Shubham's death and Naitik stands up for her.
2 years later[]
Naitik lives with Naira in Mumbai and motivates her to pursue further education. Soon, Naira-Kartik reunite and Naitik too return to Udaipur to live with his family. He considers Naksh's wife, Keerti as his own daughter.
Sometime later, Naitik moves to Cape Town to further his family business. This concludes Naitik's character.
